Keynote Speaker I

Prof. Changsheng Xu, Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China

( ACM Distinguished Scientist / IEEE Fellow / IAPR Fellow)

Dr. Xu is a Professor in National Lab of Pattern Recognition, Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Executive Director of China-Singapore Institute of Digital Media. His research interests include multimedia content analysis/indexing/retrieval, pattern recognition and computer vision. He has hold 30 granted/pending patents and published over 200 refereed research papers in these areas. Dr. Xu is an Associate Editor of IEEE Trans. on Multimedia, ACM Trans. on Multimedia Computing, Communications and Applications and ACM/Springer Multimedia Systems Journal. He received the Best Associate Editor Award of ACM Trans. on Multimedia Computing, Communications and Applications in 2012 and the Best Editorial Member Award of ACM/Springer Multimedia Systems Journal in 2008. He served as Program Chair of ACM Multimedia 2009. He has served as associate editor, guest editor, general chair, program chair, area/track chair, special session organizer, session chair and TPC member for over 20 IEEE and ACM prestigious multimedia journals, conferences and workshops. He is an ACM Distinguished Scientist, IEEE Fellow, and IAPR Fellow.

 

Keynote Speaker II

Prof. Xudong Jiang, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (IEEE Fellow)

Xudong Jiang, Fellow of IEEE,received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), and the Ph.D. degree from Helmut Schmidt University, Hamburg, Germany. From 1986 to 1993, he was a Lecturer with UESTC, where he received two Science and Technology Awards from the Ministry for Electronic Industry of China. From 1998 to 2004, he was with the Institute for Infocomm Research, A-Star, Singapore, as a Lead Scientist and the Head of the Biometrics Laboratory, where he developed a system that achieved the most efficiency and the second most accuracy at the International Fingerprint Verification Competition in 2000. He joined Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, as a Faculty Member, in 2004, and served as the Director of the Centre for Information Security from 2005 to 2011. Currently, he is a professor of NTU. Dr Jiang holds 7 patents and has authored over 200 papers with over 40 papers in the IEEE journals, including 11 papers in IEEE T-IP and 6 papers in IEEE T-PAMIThree of his journal papers have been listed as the top 1% highly cited papers in the academic field of Engineering by Essential Science Indicators. In last 3 years, he published 10 papers in top conferences CVPR/ICCV/ECCV, including 2 CVPR oral papers and 1 ECCV spotlight paper. He served as IFS TC Member of the IEEE Signal Processing Society from 2015 to 2017, Associate Editor for IEEE SPL from 2014 to 2018, Associate Editor for IEEE T-IP from 2016 to 2020 and the founding editorial board member for IET Biometrics form 2012 to 2019. Dr Jiang is currently an IEEE Fellow and serves as Senior Area Editor for IEEE T-IP and Editor-in-Chief for IET Biometrics. His current research interests include image processing, pattern recognition, computer vision, machine learning, and biometrics.

 

Keynote Speaker III

Prof. Shigeo Akashi, Tokyo University of Science, Japan

Shigeo Akashi was certified as a Ph.D. holder by Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1987 and he is now a professor at Tokyo University of Science. He was the chair professor at the Department of Information Sciences at this university from 2015 through 2016. As for the academic and educational activities, he has been a member of the Experts Committee leading scientific education for Japanese senior high schools, which is authorized by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japanese Government since 2016. He is interested in the interdisciplinary research area ranging from applied mathematics and information sciences. As for the aspect of applied mathematics, he was an invited speaker in Asian Mathematical Conference which was held at Busan City in Korea in 2013, and moreover, he was a member of Scientific Committee for Asian Conference on Nonlinear Analysis and Optimization which was approved as a satellite international conference of International Congress of Mathematicians 2014. As for the aspect of information science, he has been certified as Distinguished Cisco Certified Active Instructor by Cisco Networking Academy, which is administrated by Cisco Systems, since 2012, and moreover, he was awarded 2018 APSCIT Fellowship by Asia Pacific Society for Computing and Information Technology. His joint research work with RKC Instruments Co. Ltd., which is the largest company in all Japanese companies producing temperature-measuring instruments, named as "An algorithm for discriminating the inside of a closed curve from the outside" has been approved with Patent ID. 4760768 by Japan Patent Office attached to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japanese Government in 2011.

 

Keynote Speaker IV

Prof. Ding Yong, Guilin University Of Electronic Technology, China

Yong Ding received the Ph.D. degree in cryptography from the School of Communication Engineering, Xidian University, Xi'an, China, in 2005. From 2008 to 2009, he was a Research Fellow for Computer Science with the City University of Hong Kong. He is now a professor at the School of Computer and Information Security of Guilin University of Electronic Science and Technology. His current research interests include cryptography and information security.
